Terms and Conditions of Membership - Flooring and Construction Industry

The Terms and Conditions

We keep this very simple for our members. If you are in PR and Marketing you need to refer to the Special Terms

1. Membership - Direct trade members, commercial and government procurement

• 1.1 Membership is free and for all business types related to the flooring, building and construction industry
• 1.2 Membership is free for Commercial, Central and Local Government procurement departments, specifiers and architects

Membership, bone fide (trade). Status (author) permits you to:

• 1.3 Publish your company's general (text only) news items, product updates, project reports.
• 1.4 Publish product data sheets and expert advice (technical product installation advice).
• 1.5 Publish your company's contact details and business description to your business profile card.
• 1.6 All written material and images sent to us will become our property and we reserve the right to modify any content for publication.
• 1.7 Printing and Copying of Images and written material is permitted. However, we do not allow the use of content for commercial gain such as paid for articles on third party websites. If you know of this, please inform us.

2. Mandatory

• A condition of membership is that all members contribute to the magazine. There is simply no point in becoming a member if you do not wish to take an active role by publishing, or making available to be published, items mentioned in 1.1 to 1.5 above. We reserve the right from time to time remind you of this.

3. Logging in to the membership area you can do the following

• 3.1 As author, you may login and publish general company news and technical articles, data, expert advice (tips for installing your products).
• 3.2 As editor, publish items in the general news, product updates, project reports, trade events and exhibitions. You can include images with your advertising. Images must be jpeg, gif or png and no wider than 500 pixels.
• 3.3 Members and advertisers are not charged for any additional items containing images if published within the term of the latestpublished advert.

• 4.1 Referring to 3.2 above, all advertising is paid for in advance. After your approval of the advert and on receipt of payment, your advert will be published. See the latest advertising prices

5. Technical Advisor / Writer

• 5.1 Flooring and building industry experts wishing to forward items of a technical nature, may also sign up for membership. Contract Flooring News respects your expertise and may at its discretion publish your items, including explanatory pictures as this is to the benefit of the industry. That said, your membership must not be regarded as a back door to advertising without cost. We reserve the right to monitor this and if we feel the submitted content leans more towards advertising, we will contact you to discuss the alternative

6. Use of the Contract Flooring Magazine logo and link text

• 6.1 Use of the main CFM logo or link text (without modification) in your web pages is permitted for the purpose of hyperlinks to this website. If you link to us, we will reciprocate.
• 6.2 Copying of the Inter-Web Profiling©logo for use on any other websiteis not permitted.
• 6.3 Hot-linking to images or text, or scraping of content for use on another website is not allowed and protected by copyright law.

Contract Flooring Magazine is committed to the betterment of the relationship between the flooring, building industry and all related services.

We reserve the right to modify these terms and our prices from time to time without prior notice. Having read these terms, after approval of your application for membership you agree to abide by them without exception.

That's it, we've kept our terms of membership as simple as possible.

For those opting to advertise, you will see that our advertising prices are set at a sensible and reasonable level.
