Croatian manufacturer, Chromos, has chosen the UK as a launch pad into Western Europe for its award winning Chromoden Aqua wooden floor coating system. On show for the first time at the London Floor Show (21-22 February 06), Chromoden Aqua includes a full range of water-based products for installing, protecting, decorating and colouring solid wood flooring.
The same qualities which have already made the Chromoden Aqua system an established name in Central Europe are expected to prove equally successful in the West - fast drying, can be recoated within 60 minutes, low odour, very low VOC content, durable, hard wearing and fade resistant.
In the range, there is a polyurethane impregnator for preparing concrete surfaces before application of adhesive. The solvent and water free, two-component adhesive is based on resin, fillers and additives. It is suitable for gluing strip and 10mm solid wood parquet, laminated parquet laid on edge, prefabricated and panel parquet on absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces.
For filling small joints, holes and cracks, there is a choice of one-component gel or filling solution - the latter is ready to mix with wood dust. Both offer an excellent filling capacity and great finished look, are quick drying and can be re-coated with any of the Chromoden water- based finishes.
