Mapei UK Ltd is excited to announce the launch of ULTRABOND P990 1K to the UK market.P990 1K is a single component ready-to-use polyurethane solvent-free elastic adhesive for all types of wood floorings.

P990 1K can be used on all types of substrates; cementitious screeds, existing wood flooring, ceramic tiles, marble, terrazzo tiles, anhydrite screeds.

ULTRABOND P990 1K is:

EASY TO APPLY - Thanks to its viscosity properties, the product is fluid and smooth, even at low temperatures.  At the same time it guarantees an excellent hold on vertical surfaces, making it easy to apply.

CONVENIENT - Thanks to its excellent trowel ability, consumption of the adhesive is 20 - 30% less than traditional two-component adhesives for wood.

LOW WASTAGE - Thanks to the new aluminium moisture-proof packaging, partially used product can be stored to avoid waste.

GOOD ELASTICITY - Thanks to its elasticity properties, it mirrors the natural movements of wood caused by temperature and moisture variations.

GOOD BONDING - P990 1K has perfect adhesion to all types of substrates without the need of a primer.

LOW HAZARD - Thanks to its chemical nature and total absence of solvents, it is safer, less irritant and less pollutant than traditional 2-component adhesives for wood.

1.The Aluminium Bag acts as a guaranteed moisture barrier

2.The bag can be rolled over the sides of the bucket, so it can be poured directly on to the substrate like a traditional adhesive.

3.The Airtight Closure is guaranteed by the band that comes with the packaging.  The unused adhesive can be stored and is ready-to-use for the next application.

The packaging is Environmentally Friendly and Easy to dispose of.  Once the product is used only the aluminium bag is thrown away, and its volume is considerably less than traditional 2-component adhesive packaging.
