National Floor Show, On With The Show

nfs2010.jpgNational Floor Show 2010 can confirm that Azco Interiors, Accu-cut, Unifloor, V4 and World Wide Fund for Nature have all recently signed for the show in September. The very best of each sector of the flooring industry will be on show at the event to provide visitors with a real range of quality offerings.

Unifloor commented: “We will be exhibiting at National Floor Show as we feel this show is more geared towards a project orientated market. Based on the exhibitors signed and how the show is being promoted, it is clear this is a more commercial event – which is important for Unifloor. New builds are at a stand still, but renovations have increased so we are looking to meet architects and specifiers, among others, at the show. The NEC is an easily accessible location”.

WWF will be on hand to explain the benefits of sourcing products responsibly and what manufacturers, specifiers, architects, interior designers, and anyone else involved in the production or sourcing of flooring products will have to consider environmentally speaking in the future. Consumers are increasingly more concerned with where their products come from, as well as how they can be disposed at the end of their lifespan, so WWF will shed some light on this at their stand and also within a free seminar.

Kathryn James, Managing Director of The NEC, confirmed their long-term support of the show: “National Floor Show 2009 attracted over 3,000 visitors, 11% of who came from overseas, so The NEC’s central location within the UK and direct links to Birmingham International Railway station and Airport means that we can welcome these visitors direct to the venue.

“interiors and kbb Birmingham have enjoyed some very successful events at The NEC, and we are now looking forward to working with UBM to develop a truly national and international event that we hope will see substantial growth in the coming years.”

Portfolio Director Andrew Vaughan, commented: “Having worked with The NEC successfully for many years, we’re looking forward to seeing the new-look National Floor Show in a world-class venue.

“The fact we already have backing from the industry’s main buying groups leaves us with no doubt that we can deliver a bigger and better event in this new location. In these difficult times the opportunity to increase business and meet new clients is paramount.

“The NEC gives us the chance to offer fresh and innovative content, such as the Seminar Theatre and the student’s ‘Future of Flooring’ display, which is crucial to the longevity of the event. I’m sure that the industry is curious to see the new look National Floor Show!”

National Floor Show will take place from 7-9 September 2010.
