UK and Republic of Ireland Linoleum Products Distribution Agreement

Armstrong DLW GmbH and Gerflor SAS announce a distribution agreement for linoleum products in UK and Republic of Ireland.

Armstrong DLW GmbH, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (“Armstrong”) (NYSE: AWI) and Gerflor SAS, Villeurbanne, France,  have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for linoleum products in the UK and Irish markets.

The multi-year agreement covers the complete range of Armstrong DLW Linoleum products, manufactured in Delmenhorst, Germany.

Charles Irving-Swift, CEO of Armstrong DLW GmbH, said “Following our exclusive distribution agreement with Gerflor for the French market announced in early January, we are taking further steps to improve capacity utilization in our core linoleum business and gain a larger share of the European market. This agreement builds on the healthy supply relationship that is developing between our two companies and allows us to penetrate discrete markets more effectively by leveraging Gerflor’s well established sales organization.”

Bertrand Chammas, Chairman and CEO of Gerflor SAS added:  "Gerflor is a multi-specialist flooring manufacturer with proven ability to meet the particular needs of diverse market segments including healthcare, sport, retail and education. To strengthen our market offer in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and provide our customers with a broader choice of materials to meet their specific requirements, we have decided to integrate linoleum into our product portfolio.”

Both CEOs confirmed that, like the previously announced agreement for France, this arrangement capitalizes on each company's strengths for the benefit of both businesses and their customers.
