PRIMA Direct Exported To The World Cup
Vaughans of Leicester has been manufacturing and supplying its PRIMA brand of flooring and floorcoverings - products dedicated to the event industry, including exhibitions, sports and leisure activities - since 1978.
PRIMA Direct at Vaughans of Leicester exports to no less than 12 countries, and has experienced a significant increase in demand for its access solution systems over the last 12 months. This year alone has seen the company manufacture and export 150,000 sq m of floor covering and flooring systems overseas. A German caterer was supplied with more than 10,000 sq m of wipe clean PRIMA Caterer - a slip resistant floor covering which is hygienic, flame retardant and hardwearing for the FIFA World Cup 2006.
PRIMA Direct is also in the process of manufacturing 6,000 sq m of PRIMA Gridmat - a lightweight cost effective, portable flooring/access system for export to a customer in the Czech Republic.
"We have had an Eco-Policy for many years, manufacturing ten million square metres of carpeting using 100% recyclable material. In addition our plastic products are offered with a choice of 100% virgin material or as an alternative in recycled material varying from 50% to 100% recycled material where appropriate.
