The CFM Online Editor

We provide you with one of the most advanced online editors for publishing your content to industry's leading flooring trade and construction industry publication.

If you are familiar with Microsft Word you will will find it easy to get to grips with CFM's editor which has extra special features.

If in any doubt, simply hit the editor help button which will reveal a pop up window containing an explanation of each function.

The Editor Functions

The functions will depend on your membership profile permission which by default is that of an author. As an author you can publish text-only articles to the available categories.

Your published content can be with intro text, leading to full text, or just full text, or full text with pagebreaks, or a combination of these methods.

Intro Text
Simply start typing the first paragraph or paste some text into the editor. If it is one paragraph only, select the formatting tab, the the paragraph attribute. If you are pasting from MS Word, select all the text, click on 'Review' and click on the 'Clean Word button. This remove all non compliant MS coding. It will not effect your published article output.

Readmore... ButtonThe purpose of this is to allow the Intro Text to lead on to the full text. You do not have to use this function, you can simply create full text articles, with Pagebreaks' if you wish.

Page Breaks
If your article is exceptionaly long, you can insert a page break at the end of a paragraph.  Simply place the cursor  after the last sentence and then  hit the 'Pagebreak' button situated at the bottom of the editor. You will be presented with a popup window to enter some info.

You can repeat this operation to create shorter pages for easierr viewing with an article titled index for easy navigation. Just like some of the articles you can see throughout this website.

Important
During entering your content, from time to time click the 'Apply' button. This will keep the editor open for further editing.

If you are satisfied with your content, click the 'Save' button.

If you wish to cancel or want to select another category, click the 'Cancel' button.

Levels of Author Permission

Author Membership
Can publish text-only items to any of the listed categories. Do not try and enter href link code in the html, this is not avaiable in the Author level of membership.

Editor Membership (advertiser status)
Can publish items, create a folder for images and upload images to accompany the news item, article etc.

Publisher Membership (advertiser status) 
Can do all the above plus edit items, delete your own image folders and images and create new ones.

With this option, when you login and browse to your published article you will see an edit button at the beginning of the article. Simple hit this to load your article into the online editor for further editing and fine tuning.

If you wish to upgrade to editor or publisher status there's no charge, but the use of images in published items is subject to a fee and dependent upon the advert style.
