Some info regarding natural flooring
Natural flooring is made from a wide variety of naturally occurring materials. We have listed below a few types of natural flooring and their features.
Bamboo
A fast-growing sustainable grass with the strength of steel. Stronger and more stable than hardwoods. Uniquely beautiful. Installs and finishes like wood.
Linoleum
Linoleum was invented in 1863 and is made from clay, cork, wood flour, linseed oil, resins, and pigments and is applied to a jute backing. Linoleum has been dubbed the "40 year floor" due to its immense durability. Available in exciting colours and patterns.
Slate Tiles
Slate is a natural stone that is sure to liven up any setting. It retains heat from sunlight, central and sub-flooring heating. It comes in many great colours and styles. Available in tiles of various sizes.
Cork Tiles
Cork is a natural product that is harvested from the bark of the cork oak tree in Spain and Portugal. Usually the outer casing of the cork tree can be collected every nine years without harm to the tree. Cork tiles can be backed with vinyl for stability and a covered veneer of PVC to enhance its features and for added wearability.
Granite Tiles
Granite is second only to diamonds in terms of hardness. Whether you are thinking of a countertop, fireplace surround, floor tiles or exterior cladding, granite offers a distinctive beautiful look that will not be found in man-made tiles. Available in tiles and slab.
Marble Tiles
The perfect look, marble adds distinction to any project. Be it entry ways, bathroom countertops, marble floor tiles or shower surrounds. Marble is a wonderful natural material with such an array of naturally occurring pattern that it lends itself to many different types of project. Its wearability can be enhanced by the use of surface sealers, professionally applied. Available in tiles and slab.
